Get to know some of our women-owned vendors

This Women’s History Month, we want to uplift and celebrate the women in our community. The Indy Winter Farmers Market would like to introduce some of its women-owned vendors and encourage you to show your support. Check them out on social media, engage with their content, or shop from them at the farmers market.

Aahaa Chai was created and is owned by Raji. She grew up in a small town in India where her mother taught her that teas and spices were an integral part of her culture. When she came to the United States, she realized that the chai found in coffee shops did not even remotely match the authentic, fresh-brewed chai from home, leading her to create Aahaa Chai!

The Botanical Bar

The Botanical Bar was birthed at the end of 2019 and began as an e-commerce business amid a pandemic. It’s a women-owned business opening its first brick and mortar in 2022; it offers high-quality, affordable houseplants and seasonal gardening supplies. You can find them at the winter farmers market and shop with them online at www.thebotanicalbarindy.com.

Belle’s Breads

Michelle Yadon is the head baker and owner of Belle’s Breads. Inspired by her grandmothers, she started her baking career in high school by selling pastries through a school fundraiser. Recently, she was looking for a way to pay for PhD tuition, and her friends encouraged her to sell pastries again. And just like that, Belle’s Breads was born.

Jess Walton is a herbal practitioner with over 30 years of practice and study. She has been the owner, artisan, and master craftsman of Body Eclectic Skin Care. She is passionate about creating all natural, vegan body products that support all skin types. She loves creating exciting and unusual combinations with her preservative-free ingredients.

Candle & Cole

Candle & Cole was founded by a mother-daughter team. These lovely women make hand-poured, plant-based soy wax candles. They are passionate about creating scents that will fill your soul and create an environment of self-care with their chemical free candles.

Erika Fox is an Indianapolis art teacher who started Fox Fabrix. She has put her all into this business, creating her hand dyed apparel line with will power and passion. Some days she works from dawn until dusk making tie dye, but it is all worth it when she gets to see her customers excited about the products.

Gluten Free Creations, Inc.

Lydia Armstrong has been baking gluten free products for over seven years, and she is the President of Gluten Free Creations, Inc. She has always loved baking and especially enjoys tapping into her inner chemist to create delicious gluten free baked goods.

Constance has been an organic grower of herbs and produce since 1979. She started Hobbit Gardens Erth Gatherings Center in 1987. Constance uses her herbs and produce to create a variety of different products, such as herb wreaths, teas, and herbal skincare products.

KC Cakes Unlimited, LLC

Torian Stinnette runs KC Cakes Unlimited, LLC as a single mother with the help of her two daughters. She is a research scientist at Eli Lilly and uses baking as a calming hobby. Her passion and excitement grows every time she sees a satisfied customer with one of her cookies, cupcakes, or cake slices.

Mossy Acres Flower Farm

Kelly Cole, mom of two and former teacher, runs Mossy Acres Flower Farm. She started the farm as a fun, local place to spend more time outdoors with kids. And, she gets the opportunity to educate customers about the benefits of sourcing dried flower material locally, instead of purchasing imported flowers with a big carbon footprint.

Namia Naturals

Randi Lashon began her journey of wellness five years ago while dealing with chronic ailments. She was tired of being sick and taking so many medications, so she decided to take wellness into her own hands. This led her to start Namia Naturals and create handmade, vegan, non-GMO products that relieve or soothe some of the ailments within the body.

Emily Simenauer is the owner and founder of Pearls and Jade. She started the business as a way to encourage reusing ceramic planters and get rid of plastic planters, as an effort to be more sustainable. She loves seeing the spark of joy in her customers when they find the perfect plant or pot. That’s her favorite part of running Pearls and Jade Indy Plant Shop.

Plant Society

Riley Higgins started getting into plants about two years ago. As she started growing her collection, she realized that finding accurate plant care guides was somewhat difficult, and so Plant Society was born. Riley pairs plants and pots with helpful plant care guides to make it easy for plant owners.

Seed & Harvest, LLC

Telisa Lloyd has always loved working and serving her community. She had a passion for gardening and sharing her produce with her neighbors which led her to start Seeds & Harvest, LLC in 2017. Telisa is a tenacious business owner who is willing to learn and grow in every aspect of the business.

Soulcraft

Rachel Barr is a mother of two who loves camping, foraging, and tending to her garden. She is passionate about creating natural products that support gut health and immune-building wellness. She grows what she can in her own garden and purchases local materials whenever possible.

The Paper Flame

Jen Ko is a mechanical engineer by trade, but a creative at heart. She uses her candle business as a creative outlet outside of her 9 to 5. She is passionate about sustainability, which is why she uses up-cycled and reused jars and encourages her customers to trade-in their finished candles.

The Tasty Morsel

Samana Huggins is the founder and Chief Tasty Officer (CTO) of The Tasty Morsel. In 2018, she was searching for the perfect birthday dessert for her husband and could not find it at any local bakery, so she decided to make it herself. From there, The Tasty Morsel was born. She loves experimenting with ingredients to get the flavor combination just right.

Claire Hoang started Vietnamese Eggroll Bar in 2017 as a way to bring traditional Vietnamese food to Indiana. Inspired by her mom, she prepares her dishes with love. Eggrolls have always been her comfort food because it brings people together to create precious memories, and she loves sharing that with the Indianapolis community.

Well Groomed Men’s Care, LLC

Denisha Cole is the owner of Well Groomed Men’s Care LLC. Many people assume that it’s a man-owned company because of the name, Denisha is a woman who is passionate about creating a Bath and Body Works experience for men. She is passionate about educating others on how to take care of our skin and creating natural products, free of chemicals and harmful fragrances.
